Team Obama’s gambit to sideline Jon Hunstman as a contender for the Republican nomination for president appears to have failed. The former Utah governor, who resigned shortly after winning a second term in 2008 to take the job of ambassador to China, has told the White House he wants to be relieved of his responsibilities within the next few months.
