Detroit Tigers sweep New York Yankees, now headed to World Series

So the Tigers managed to sweep the Yankees.

In four games, the Bronx Bombers never held the lead. That’s a pretty impressive accomplishment. They’ll face either the Cardinals or the Giants.

We were hoping for a Nationals/Tigers World Series, but alas, the Nats couldn’t defeat the Cardinals, even though they were one strike away from making it to the NCLS against the Giants. Somehow they let St. Louis score four runs with two outs in the top of the ninth. The Cardinals currently lead the Giants in the NLCS, 2-1.
