Idaho’s Mike Crapo has offered a more detailed explanation of what happened on December 22nd and 23rd, when he was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk. Turns out he wasn’t coming home from a party - he decided to go out for a drive because he felt restless and couldn’t sleep. That was after he’d consumed a fair amount of hard liquor. Crapo pleased guilty today to a charge of driving while intoxicated. He will have to complete an alcohol safety program and forfeit his license for twelve months.
