Rural South Dakota county gave Barack Obama his biggest margin of victory in 2012
Bloomberg Businessweek highlights an interesting factoid: The most pro-Obama county in the 2012 presidential election wasn’t an urban stronghold on either of America’s coasts. It was rural Shannon County, which is predominantly Native American. Ninety-three percent of voters in Shannon County voted for Obama.
